  • How do I place an order?
    Some items can be ordered directly from Online Items and must be done at least one week in advance. For a custom order, a request should be sent 2-4 weeks in advance.
  • Do you offer cake tastings?
    Yes! Tasting boxes can be purchased in a set of 3 or 4 cake pairings and can be ordered from the MENU page. If you secure your booking with me within 1 month of ordering a tasting box, this amount is credited in your booking price (only applies to orders with a minimum spend).
  • Do you work with fondant?
    I work with Swiss meringue buttercream that is smooth, soft, and not-too-sweet. Every inch of your cake is edible and delicious! Some fondant decorations may be used. Please inquire.
  • What is your deposit and payment policy?
    For custom orders, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The final payment is due 2 weeks before your event. For orders with less than 2 weeks notice, full payment is required upon booking. Payments can be made by Visa, Mastercard and e-Transfer. Payments by card are charged at 3% processing fees.
  • Do you deliver?
    Yes. Delivery is strongly encouraged for all tiered cakes, as driving with them can be difficult. Delivery/cake set-up fees will be based on location and set-up detail. You may pick up your order at no charge, but keep in mind that once it has been picked up, the safety and responsibility of your order is yours and Sweet Serenade is no longer liable for any damages.
  • Do you cater to allergens?
    All items include eggs, milk and gluten. While I do not usually bake with nuts, ingredients used may have come into contact with nuts during production. Please specify any nut allergies when ordering.
  • ​What is your cancellation policy?
    ​10+ days in advance: Option 1: Full refund less $15 processing; Option 2: Full credit towards future order. 4-9 days in advance: Advance work and preparation has likely started; ingredients and supplies have been purchased. Option 1: 50% refund of all monies received; Option 2: Full credit towards future order. ​1-3 days in advance: Work has started on your order. Ingredients and supplies have been purchased. No refund. No credit.
  • Do you accept last minute orders?
    This depends on the complexity and quantity of the order. Please send me an email with the request (include 'last-minute' or 'urgent' in the subject line) and I will get back to you. Unfortunately, I cannot provide same day custom orders at this time. There will be a rush fee for last minute orders.
